 • The Virtuous Woman (Page 4)

NHN-Couture-Gold-Ensemble Hey Ladies, enjoy our guest post today by Ivy Nakpodia-Egbon

Hi ladies! There are times in one’s life, that you tend to review things to see how well you’ve done and what you can do better. I believe in being well-rounded as a person, balancing it all – so one aspect of my life does not suffer while the other flourishes. As women, we have 3 distinct roles, which intertwine to make us who we are - Unique.Firstly, there’s you the individual - a woman, then you marry and become - a wife and finally you have children and become - a mother.Being 3 in 1 is unique like the Trinity. The trinity in you looks at these 3 roles and how you can maximise your potential in each area.
  • Woman – Know your worth
Knowing who you are in Christ makes you know your worth or value. 1 Peter 2:9 says “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out”. This means that you are peculiar, you are unique and you stand out amongst many. Basically you are in a million, there’s none like you – knowing this makes you view and treat yourself in a way that showcases your uniqueness.

How God found me during my years of infertility By Sara Hagerty Part 1 Shut Down . . . or Open Up? I climbed into bed that night and revisited a conversation I’d only recently been having with God. It felt like a stream of consciousness—a dissertation of thought—one that got interrupted occasionally by life but was always there. Instead of bitterness, though, I felt sadness. Somewhere underneath that bitter sheen I knew that vulnerability was my ticket out of a hard heart. My heart slowly shifted, reading the words of Psalm 18 as if I was the writer. I spoke what I hadn’t felt, hours earlier, until my heart warmed to feel. “But in my distress I cried out to the LORD; yes, I prayed to my God for help. He heard me from his sanctuary; my cry to him reached his ears” (Psalm 18:6).

She leaned across the counter drawing me in with a glint in her eye that said I have something worth shouting, but it’s sacred enough that I’ll whisper. I had seconds (not hours or even minutes) to prepare myself to not just receive but form a response to the kind of news that would often send me underground for days, in my heart. “I’m pregnant,” the words her mouth formed matched the look in her eye. She was glowing, expectant in more than just her womb. “We’re having another baby,” she said—almost mischievously, as if her third pass through this rite of passage was carelessly conceived.

Explain to your daughter why dressing modestly is an important way to honor God with the body He has given her. Help her understand that immodest clothes send wrong messages to guys and stimulate them to think lustfully towards her. Let her know why choosing to be modest is a vital part of respecting her dignity as a person. Ask God to give her the confidence she needs to refrain from seeking attention in the wrong way, such as by dressing immodestly to flaunt her body and gain approval from others. This might sound old school to these days 'modern mothers' or 'yummy mummies' as they call themselves! Some moms want to outlive their teenage lives that they never had in the lives of these young growing teenagers! Some claim it's fashionable to be half-naked as a teenager and it's trendy to exposure their body! Mothers we have to be true to ourselves! The question now is "so to be covered and decent , is not fashionable?" It's so sad because these mothers themselves are particularly naked too, exposing everything for the world to see and lying to themselves that their husbands like it that way! Now let me tell you all the truth and my opinion. "No real husband, will allow his wife go out half-naked!" What I don't understand is the logic behind it! The claim she is their "property" which of course she is, if he can allow the whole world see her partly naked! It then means, he doesn't love her and that she is just there to be shared with everybody. REAL MEN LOVE THEIR WIVES AND DAUGHTERS AND WANT TO PROTECT THEM! REAL MEN ARE JEALOUS OF THEIR WIVES AND DAUGHTERS AND TRY SO MUCH TO SHIELD THEM NOT EXPOSE THEM! Now get this straight ladies, if your husband or boyfriend allows you out half-naked then be less assured you are just that kind of babe he is lusting outside your marriage or relationship! 70 percent of indecent dresses wives have their husband's cheating on them! Period! A word is enough for the wise! DRESS YOUR STATUS GIRLS! DRESS YOUR AGE LADIES! YOU WILL BE ADDRESSED THE WAY YOU ARE DRESSED! Stop deceiving yourselves! BE A TREND SETTER NOT A COPYCAT! Because others are doing it doesn't make it right! HAVE A BLESSED DAY AND A FRUITFUL WEEK! NHN-Couture-32-a NHN-Couture-35-a

Which color do you like best? Which one would you choose? That was a difficult decision for me to make too especially since it's the same style and I love both colors. But I had to make a choice! NHN-Couture-Fouad-Sarkis-Collection-Nigeria-Blue-and-Green-Evening-Gown

Choice tʃɔɪs/ an act of choosing between two or more possibilities. "the choice between good and evil"
As single women or married women, there comes a point in our lives when we have to choose what kind of woman we will want to be. For a married woman this choice that we will make, especially when it concerns our home, is crucial. Which woman are you going to choose to be? The one who will choose to build or the one who will choose to destroy?

A wise woman builds her house, while a foolish woman tears hers down by her own efforts. -Proverbs 14:1 (Living Bible)

♥ A wise woman builds up her house and because she builds it well, her house stands firm and strong through any storm and trial.

Excerpt from "The Power of a Woman" by Barbara Rainey  You have the power to protect your husband from temptation by making sure his sexual needs are met by you and you alone. I have a good friend who said it this way: "If you don't want to do his laundry, your husband can take his clothes to the cleaners. If you decide you don't want to cook anymore for him, he can go out to any number of great restaurants to eat. But if your husband isn't getting his sexual needs met at home with you, and he goes somewhere else, God calls that a sin." Don't misunderstand what I'm saying. If your husband sins in this way, he's responsible before God. But at the same time, understand that you play a powerful role in helping him not yield to temptation. God created us as men and women with profoundly inherent differences. If you love him, you'll want to protect him from the limitless temptations that the enemy of his soul floats by him day after day. You are most powerful as a wife when you become a student of what your husband likes and then use that knowledge and your feminine skill to protect him from temptation and sin. Keep Him for Life When we stated our vows at the wedding altar, most of us repeated the words "to have and to hold" and "till death do us part." We signed up for life. But have you ever thought about what it means to "have" and "hold" your husband? To have implies a possession. It means he belongs to you and no one else. He is your responsibility, and you are his. Are you fulfilling your sexual responsibility? For frequency? Creativity? Have you turned him down more often than you have invited his love? Do you put his needs before or after those of your children or your work? To hold means to keep or bond, much like a magnet. A magnet has the power within to pull another polar opposite to itself. My husband and I are virtual opposites in nearly every way. It's what attracted us to each other in the first place. But I must continue to be a magnet in his life if I am to keep him. Too many women would love to have him if I let him leave home for work or travel constantly in a state of sexual deprivation. First Corinthians 7:5 (NKJV) tells us, "Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to . . . prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control." This may come as no surprise to you, but most men want—really want—their wives to passionately desire them. And when you express sexual longing for him—whether verbally or non-verbally—your husband is unlikely to refuse your magnetic power. Dress-like-the-daughter-of-a-King-18012015-3 There's no question about it. The decision to live your life for God's glory will require some tough choices. It will probably take more time to shop, and your clothing may actually cost a little more. You may not look as cool or “in” as your would like, and sometimes you just might have to stand out in a crowd as someone who is different. But remember, you are different. You have a different citizenship and you were bought with a costly price!

She brings either a softening or a hardening touch to most every situation, when it relates to that which involves her children and her husband. “Women are the heart of the home, and our attitudes set the emotional temperature in our families. A wife’s positive attitude can permeate our home like the sweet aroma of freshly picked flowers, or negative attitude can pollute her home like stinky garbage.”
