MERCY MAKINDE is the brain behind FIRST and ONLY PIDGIN/INDIGENOUS LANGUAGE CONFERENCE IN NIGERIA tagged BETA WOMAN BETA NAIJA designed to educate, empower and teach illiterate and Semi-Illiterate women financial literacy thereby driving financial inclusion.
In her usual manner of blazing the trail, she is the convener of the FIRST ALL CHILDREN CONFERENCE IN NIGERIA: This was created to commemorate the Children’s Day Celebration in an impactful way rather than the usual fun fair that marks this celebration. She blazed the trail again and changed the norm by making Children’s day impacting and valuable to the lives of children.

FREE SKILLS ACQUISITION PROGRAMME for less privileged women especially Widows, Single Parents and victims of Domestic Violence. This way she has economically empowered impoverished women and enabled them to gain financial independence and are able to fend for themselves and children.
- AMAZING AMAZON WOMEN EMPOWERMENT FUNDS (AAWEF) to enable Female Entrepreneurs to have access to quick and easy funds to boost their businesses.
- AMAZING AMAZON MULTIPURPOSE COOPERATIVE FOR WOMEN (AAMCOOP): This is a project that provides economic, Investment and savings opportunities, encourage collaboration and empower women in all spheres of life especially those who are Micro and small business owners. We aim to enrich our members by equipping them with necessary skills, information and access to business opportunities while giving them power over their own financial decisions and financial services.
- MARKET WOMEN LITERACY PROGRAMME: This is a programme targeted at market women and petty traders with little or no formal education. It is designed to give this class of women rudiments literacy that can help them in their day-to-day transactions in other to scale their business, enhance their financial literacy and encourage financial inclusion for women.
